


1. Do not use a . (period) , (comma) or # (number sign) in the address line
- Correct: 2007 Main St Apt 1
- Incorrect: 2007 Main Street, Apt. #1
2. For addresses with Alpha Apartment designations, such as A, B, C, etc. the Apartment
indicator should not have a space between the house number and the apartment
indicator.
- Correct: 2007C Main St
- Incorrect: 2007 C Main St
3. For Addresses with Numerical Apartment designations the Apartment indicator should
be at the end of the street address line.
- Right way: 2007 Main St Apt 1A
- Incorrect: 2007 1A Main St
4. Never begin a street address with a Suite number. Suite number must always follow the
Street Address. Suite should always be entered Ste.
- Correct: 2201 Oak St Ste 1001
- Incorrect: Suite 1001 2201 Oak St
5. Building names are not valid addresses.
- Correct: 1360 Steel St Ste 1001
- Incorrect: 1360 Steel Building
6. It is very important to use directional indicators such as N, S, E, and W in the Street
Address line.
7. Address numbers should always be entered as numeric and not alpha
- Correct: 1002 10th Ave
- Incorrect: 1002 Tenth Ave
8. Second address should be entered in Address2 field
- Correct: 123 Western Ave

Never enter multiple address lines in a single address field.
- Incorrect: 123 Western Ave P.O. Box 321
9. Never enter any other data such as Company, Title, or Names in the address field.
10. Rural Route Addressing – Rural route address always need to be accompanied by a
box number. RR2 Box 186. When using rural route addressing keep a space between
RR and the route number. Do not use# to indicate number.
